Ian Read will be giving one of his rare public talks. This is one he's done a few times - the Kibbo Lift are of enduring fascination, being that rare beast, an esoteric organization that is left- rather than right-leaning.
It was founded by artist and writer John Hargrave (1894–1982), and while it had superficial similarities to the Boy Scout movement it repudiated the militarism of that organization.
